Monkey Barrel Comedy Announces Collaboration with St Luke’s

Monkey Barrel Comedy Announces Collaboration with St Luke’s to host tour shows in Glasgow.  First show will be Tatty Macleod’s ‘Fugue’ in August.

Monkey Barrel Comedy is delighted to announce an exciting new collaboration with leading arts venue, St Luke’s, that will bring top comedy tours to Glasgow. Tickets for the first show, Tatty Macleod’s Fugue, are now on sale. This special launch event will bring a taste of the Edinburgh Fringe to the west coast - giving Glasgow audiences a chance to sample the world’s biggest arts festival in their home city this August.

The show is scheduled for Sunday, 18th August, at 8PM, at St Luke’s. This beautifully restored, grade-B listed building, located near Glasgow’s vibrant Merchant City, offers a stunning setting for the show. The venue has previously hosted the likes of The Libertines, Billy Bragg, and Lewis Capaldi. It has also become a popular venue during Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

Bilingual comedian and viral sensation, Tatty Macleod, AKA “that French TikTok lady,” has garnered over 50 million views online. Following a sold-out debut tour, she is bringing her hilarious show, Fugue, back to the stage. The show was highlighted as one of the ’10 Best Comedy Shows at Fringe 2023’ and described as “a brilliant hour of comedy” by Broadway World. The show will also be returning to Monkey Barrel Comedy in Edinburgh for one night only, August 13th, at 20:30.

Monkey Barrel Comedy, recognized as Scotland’s Best Comedy Venue (Chortle Awards, 2023 + 2024), has been described as the “beating heart” of the Fringe by The Telegraph. The club is also home to the winners of the 2022 and 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Awards and will be hosting a packed line-up at this year’s festival, including Nish Kumar, Sara Pascoe, and Amy Gledhill.

Monkey Barrel Comedy: "We’re really excited to be working with St Luke’s on this exciting collaboration and look forward to bringing some of the outstanding comedy tours that visit Monkey Barrel Comedy to Glasgow.”

St Luke’s: “It’s a real pleasure to be working with such an iconic organisation as Monkey Barrel. We are looking forward to hosting many shows to complement our diverse programme in the heart of Glasgow.” - Paulie Musselwhite - General Manager
